Adams & Martin Group is partnering with a respected and growing litigation firm in North Orange County to identify an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join its team. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with all phases of civil litigation, from initial case development through trial preparation and trial support.
- Manage discovery processes, including drafting subpoenas, tracking responses, and organizing records.
- Review, analyze, summarize, and synthesize large volumes of records and case-related data.
- Prepare detailed medical chronologies, medical record summaries, employment record summaries, and deposition summaries.
- Draft and prepare meet and confer correspondence and assist with discovery-related matters.
- Support motion practice, including drafting and assisting with oppositions, discovery motions, motions to continue trial, and related pleadings.
- Assist with trial preparation, including exhibit management, witness files, trial binders, and document organization.
- Maintain case files and ensure documents are accurately organized within document management systems.
- Conduct legal and factual research utilizing web-based legal research tools and databases.
- Collaborate closely with attorneys and litigation teams to support case strategy and case management.
- Accurately track and record billable time in accordance with firm requirements.
- Manage multiple assignments simultaneously while meeting deadlines with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of paralegal experience in a law firm environment.
- Civil litigation experience is required.
- Experience reviewing and summarizing medical records, employment records, discovery responses, and deposition transcripts.
- Familiarity with discovery procedures and records management.
- Experience supporting motion practice and trial preparation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience working in a paperless environment; experience with iManage or similar document management systems is a plus.
- Strong legal research skills utilizing online legal research platforms.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize a high-volume workload while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Education
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program required.
